A place to see a restore wetland area.
Tualitan River National Wildlife Refuge was very nice. At the end of the gift shop is a large window with scopes to enjoy on a rainy day. On a rainy day this is a great place to watch the birds. A display area explaining about the wildlife refuge. The history and purpose can be found in this information area. Winter time the wetlands fill to form pond for migrating ducks and geese. Introduction to the Wildlife refuge and trail map. The winter pathway was gravel to keep you out of the mud. It was mating season so the trails were close. A birder with scope is ready to enjoy the view from a hill top view area. A great deal of work has gone into turning the area back into a native wetland area.
