Elk Rock Garden is a privately owned garden that is open to the public to visit. It cover about 13 acres and was founded in 1897. It is secluded with few folks in the Portland area knowing about it. It is situated on a bluff overlooking the Willamette River with views of Mt. Hood. There are winding garden paths that takes you past open lawn, flower beds, fish ponds and steam and right up to a cliff edge. The estate has a Scottish style manor house on it. Not enough parking to support a crowd and no public bathrooms.
